Privacy
Last updated 18 September 2026
Most privacy policies are long because the site behind them collects a lot. This one is mostly a list of things that do not happen.
Before publishing: add the legal entity name and address that operates Pocket Move, and the country whose data law applies. Confirm whether analytics has been switched on. Have somebody qualified read this. It is a careful draft, not legal advice.
The calculator and the label builder
Everything you type into either tool stays in your browser. The rent, what your things are worth, how long you think you will need a unit, what is in your boxes — none of it is sent anywhere, stored on a server, or seen by us. There is no account, no database and nothing to log in to.
Both tools are static files. Closing the tab is the same as deleting the data, because the data only ever existed in the tab.
What we count
We would like to know which kind of answer people get, because it tells us what to build next. So we count the shape of the answer and never the answer itself.
What is recorded:
- Which of the five situations the calculator resolved to
- That a plan or a set of labels was printed, and roughly how many boxes
- That a link to one of the free guides was followed, and from which page
What is never recorded:
- Any figure you typed. Not the rent, not the value, not the duration
- Cookies, identifiers, or anything that stitches one visit to another
- Anything that could be traced back to a particular person
Every event is an anonymous count. We cannot tell you apart from anyone else, and we have not built anything that could.
Nothing is sold here
There is no shop, no checkout and no payment of any kind on this site. The guides are free and live on pocketmove.blog.
The newsletter and the guides
Both are on pocketmove.blog, which is a separate WordPress site on a different domain with its own privacy policy. If you give an email address, you give it there and not here. This site has no way to collect one.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, who keep short-lived server logs including IP addresses, for security and for keeping the site running. That is ordinary web hosting and is not used to build any profile of you.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. For these two tools the answer is that there is nothing to hold. For anything on the blog, write to support@getpocketmove.com and we will find it and remove it.
Children
This is a site about household finances and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes the date at the top changes with it.
