Terms of use
Last updated 18 September 2026
By using this site you are agreeing to what is on this page. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.
Before publishing: add the legal entity name and address, and the governing law and jurisdiction. Have somebody qualified read this. It is a careful draft, not legal advice.
What the tools are
The calculator and the label builder are free and work out arithmetic from figures you supply. The answer is only ever as good as those figures, and it is an estimate about the future, which nobody can promise. Storage rates rise, resale values fall, and plans change.
Every worked example on this site and in the guides is an illustration of how the arithmetic behaves, not a prediction of what will happen to you.
What the tools are not
Nothing here is financial, legal, tax, insurance or valuation advice. It is a practical guide to a decision that happens to involve money. Contract terms, lien procedures, insurance rules, charity policies and tax treatment vary by country, state and company, and they change. Anything that turns on your own circumstances should go to somebody qualified who knows them.
Decisions you make after using this site are yours. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from them.
What we are not paid for
We take no referral fees, no lead generation fees, no commission and no marketplace cut. We do not recommend storage operators, removal firms or house clearance companies, and we are not paid differently depending on whether you store something, sell it, keep it or let it go. Nothing on this site is for sale.
If that ever changes, it will say so here before it happens anywhere else.
The guides
The guides are free and live on pocketmove.blog. You are welcome to print them, write on them, photocopy the worksheet pages as often as your house needs, and use them with your own family. Please do not resell them, upload the files anywhere others can download them, or use them as material in a paid service without asking us first.
If you want to use one with clients, write to us. The answer is usually yes.
The site itself
We try to keep everything working and available, and we do not promise that it always will be. The text, the guides and the design are ours. The arithmetic is not — it is the same arithmetic anyone could do on paper, which is exactly why the workbook exists.
Changes
If these terms change the date at the top changes with them.
